Tattoo over laser burn

It was necessary to wait at least a year for the skin to heal properly, in order to perform a proper repair and camouflage the visible errors on her arm.

This case of our client Emilio is a result of a botched procedure at a laser tattoo removal center, which caused an excessive burn and a significant scar.

He wanted to remove a tattoo he was unhappy with. He went to a laser removal center and underwent several sessions, but unfortunately, the laser technician was either careless or inexperienced in treating the area where the ink was located. Perhaps, and in most cases, this was due to incorrect voltage settings, excessive machine power, or repeatedly burning the same spot. The skin suffered a burn, resulting in a raised scar with loss of natural skin pigmentation.

He had to wait at least a year for his skin to heal properly before a corrective procedure could be performed to camouflage the visible imperfections on his arm.

Gustavo Lesmes had to adapt Emilio's idea, a cherished memory from a trip to Guatemala. It was incredibly meticulous work to fit a volcano and a cathedral into a space only 4 cm wide, given the challenge posed by the raised scar.

The optical effect is stunning. The cathedral sits perfectly above the scar, and the volcano's background helps to conceal the old tattoo.

Several consultations, tests, and simulations of the various solutions were necessary throughout the creative process before the tattoo was even done, as there was no room for error.

Ultimately, the procedure was a complete success, and above all, it immortalized a very dear memory of Emilio's.
